Louisiana — Meta Richland Parish (MISO)

The “all pipeline, nothing energized yet” extreme. Meta's Hyperion campus — now projected at $200B+ and up to 9-10 buildings (~5 GW of compute) — is under construction but not operational until ~2030. To power it Entergy is building 10 gas plants totaling ~7.5 GW (a March 2026 deal added seven units on top of the original three; ~$11B, Meta-funded, plus up to 2.5 GW of renewables/storage). The LPSC voted April 15, 2026 to fast-track the application with a final decision due December 2026; in July 2026 an administrative law judge ordered Meta to disclose withheld evidence behind the gas buildout. Massive requested load, essentially zero on the meter today.
